The real world
There is a big difference between the real world and the imaginary one. The problem is that evrytime people have to pay the price of the stupidity of those who live in the imaginary world and continue to pay until these leaders of the imaginary world cross the border and come to the real world. This means when the put the revolutionary ideas out of their mind.
There are so many examples of these all over the history of humanity. I just give you few of them, more recent ones which touch the Middle East.
1- The late president Sadat of Egypt was assasinated by the extremistes because he signed a peace treaty with Israel. Most of the arab and moslem states interrupted their relationship with Egypt. Isalmic Iran did the same. Now Iran has re established relations with Egypt who was treated as a trait.
2- The group Hesbollah in Lebonan created, financed and organised by Islamic Iran started a guerilla war against Israel and now they have accepted existence of Israel.
3- Islamic Iran was calling the arab states of the persain gulf as the puppets of US, and now he exchanges high ranking officials with these countries.
4- Iran’s war against Iraq lasted 8 years because of the very big personel mistakes of Khomeini. He accepted the peace when it was too late to obtain any advantage from it.
5- Hamas is the newest example in this region. They have announced acceptance of existence of Israel, which means they are in peace with Israel. So all these killings and Intifada and so on was just the mistakes.
All these direction changings could have been done under a much better situation . But they did it when they didn’t have any more choices. And all these because in these countries there are dictatorships which does not let any exchange of ideas so as to let people see the real world.
I am very sorry ( specially for myself) to say that in just a few decades time, middle east will be one of the poorest region in the world and the crisis like starving populations will start there also as soon as petrol will be out of world calculations.
May be we’ll wake up then. I say may be, because we are sinked since few centuaries in the traditions which are a mixture of islam and local traditions which are very difficult to leave behind. I don’t see any sign of progress. Nothing at all.
